Unilever-owned personal care brand Degree relaunched the Original Cool Rush scent in an antiperspirant format.

Driven by an outpouring of fan passion across thousands of comments, reviews, social posts, and even a Change.org petition, the Original Cool Rush scent returns to shelves nationwide.

Chris Symmes, Head of Marketing for Degree, said,

“This isn’t just a relaunch, it’s a redemption. Our shoppers held us accountable, and we listened. Cool Rush isn’t just the top-selling scent in the deodorant category, it is a part of people’s everyday routines and memories. This return reflects our commitment to building a brand that truly listens and responds to its community.”

Across social media, Degree is teaming up with athletes, creators, and longtime loyalists, such as Boston Rob, to drop exclusive content since #CoolRushIsSoBack.

The return of the Original Cool Rush marks a rare moment of brand course-correction driven entirely by consumer voices.

Among the first to speak out was Benjamin “As Is” Ross, a California-based DJ, whose impassioned online commentary helped ignite the movement. As one of Cool Rush’s earliest (and loudest) critics, Benjamin became an unexpected hero of the comeback.

To celebrate his role in bringing back the scent, Degree is hosting the first-ever Cool Rush Comeback Parade in his hometown of San Jose, CA, on May 3rd.
